All about Menorca...

Menorca is third largest of the Balearic Islands and is approx 30 miles long x 10 miles across.

It’s a beautiful Island – superb for water-sports, walking, cycling, riding or simply sipping cocktails on the balcony!
In 2010 the revival of the ‘Cami de Cavalls’ The coastal road, which is 185km, was completed and is described as having 20 day-long walks. There are wooden marker posts along the path with information indicating distance to next destination, difficulty of walk and duration.

Here you can explore mysterious Bronze Age Settlements dating back to 2300 BC. Often referred to as an open air museum, Menorca has 12 Talayotic villages containing numerous megalithic structures including the symbolic Taula’s, Navetas and Talayots. If you find Stonehenge mysterious, these settlements will blow your mind!

There is a water-sports centre on the beach at Cala’n Porter where you can hire bikes, kayaks, power boats, SUP’s etc.

The most interesting nightclub in Menorca is called Cova d'en Xoroi – Cala’n Porter! This is a spectacular bar set in the caves at the mouth of the Bay and is visited by people from all over the world, for sunset cocktails overlooking Mallorca or nightly live music and DJs.

There is a great bus service from Cala’n Porter to Mahon and from there, on to most other destinations.

Mahon Harbour is a must visit. It is one of the largest natural harbours in the world and is lined with some of the best restaurants on the island. It also has a gin distillery where you can see the copper stills used for distilling the gin formally produced on the island for the British soldiers in the 1800s. They shipped in the Juniper berries and started distilling Xoriguer gin! There is a factory shop on the harbour where you can sample the gin (maybe leave the car at home).

There are also various boat trips from Mahon Harbour, including a glass bottom boat. Boats of all sizes can also be chartered from the Harbour.

Driving in Menorca is easy, the roads are good and well signed (no potholes!). You can either hire a car online from the UK, or we can recommend a company that will be at the airport to meet you with your car. There is also the option of hiring for just a day in Cala’n Porter.

Hopefully we have given you a brief insight to Menorca – now come and discover its beauty for yourself... sit on your balcony watching the yachts and sipping a cocktail as the sun sets over the Bay!

Superbe hébergement
Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse dqns l'appartement de Jocelyne. Difficile de quitter ce matin cette vue magnifique sur la plage de cala n porter. La terrasse est plus grande que ce qu'elle paraît sur les photos. Et impossible de se oasser de cette superbe vue qui apporte vraiment une saveur supplementaire aux vacances. Les chambres sont spacieuses et ont chacune une salle de bain. Tout est très fonctionnel et il y a tout ce qu'il faut dans l'appartement. Si vous prenez les escaliers au numéros 36 de la rue passeig maritim, vous arriverez directement sur la plage de sable! L'hébergement parfait pour de belles vacances sur l'île! Sunrise with a cuppa - sunset with a G&T!
Just returned from a two week stay and could have stayed even longer. We have returned completely relaxed and chilled. The best times of day are watching the white washed villas light up as the sunrises... sitting on the balcony with a cup of tea and then at the end of the day watching the sun setting whilst sipping a G&T. This is our second visit to this apartment and it is in such a great location with fantastic views. Everything you need is in walking distance - we hired a car but didn’t use it a great deal as everything we needed was where we were staying... we hope to return again someday... – 9/28/2018 at 3:53 PM

Beautiful flat with the best view in Cala n Porter. Family friendly and clean.
We had a great experience all together. Jocelyn was very helpful with everything from start to finish. The flat was lovely especially the glass balcony! And most days we had the pool to ourselves which was a bonus. The beds were very comfortable as well. Be prepared thought there were lots of mosquitoes but thats the case anywhere with a hot climate. Great apartment with amazing views in a perfect location. I Would highly recommend this apartment.
We really enjoyed our stay at Dos Manos 6, the apartment is lovely and the views are amazing. This is a perfect place to relax and unwind, it's in a great location with a short walk to the beach or shops. We really enjoyed the pool and we were pleasantly surprised how warm it was. The beds were comfy and the bedroom shutters had mosi screens to enable you to have the windows open at night, both made for a great night's sleep. We didn't think it had wifi but on arrival found there was which made our daughter very happy. All in all a great holiday, we would highly recommend this apartment and the views are unforgettable. – 6/7/2018 at 7:25 AM

Just chill, relax and enjoy the view.
We had a lovely stay in Dos Manos, the apartment was bright, airy and comfortable in a lovely position and has a balcony with ever changing views - from early morning seeing the bird life (including a lone mallard duck we named Darcey that followed the swimmers in the sea), the sun shining on the sea highlighting various shades of blue though to watching the boats come and go and the evening sunset. We had gorgeous weather which is always a bonus and felt at home straight away. We didn't hire a car so used the bus to go to Mahon and walked to the nearby restaurants, bars and supermarkets. There are lots of slopes and steps in Cala en Porter but on the upside it burnt off the calories consumed in the restaurants! We definitely want to return. – 9/30/2017 at 3:33 PM

Fantastic
Great apartment, exactly what it said on the tin. We had a lovely stay and went to some great restaurants (La Palete, La Barressa & Sa Piasso) along with Club Menorca with its fantastic views. Would avoid Seagrams, food was terrible. We will come back and stay again. – 8/26/2017 at 8:46 AM
